What is Reflexology?

Reflexology is a complimentary touch therapy that helps to promote good health through a process of deep relaxation. Guided by a treatment map I will work on areas (reflexes) of your feet, hands or face that correspond with different areas of your body, to enhance wellness.

Reflexology has many benefits including:

Relaxation

Aids sleep

Promotes Wellbeing

Releases tension

Reflexology is suitable for anyone at any age from new-born to end of life care however, it should not be used as an alternative to seeking medical advice.

As a reflexologist I do not diagnose or make claims to be able to cure any conditions

What Happens during a Reflexology appointment?

During the first appointment: we will chat about your medical history - including any allergies you may have. You will then have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about your treatment.

You will then sign a consent form before you lie on the couch for your reflexology. Obviously, for treatment involving your feet, you will need to remove your shoes and socks.

The first appointment lasts about 90 minutes

Follow up appointments: I will check that there are no changes to your medical history prior to your treatment. For this appointment and any other follow up sessions I will work to an individualised treatment plan.

Follow up appointments usually last about 60 minutes

Can you do Reflexology on the hands?

Yes, Hand reflexology is just as effective on the hands as it is on the feet. It is also particularly effective if you are struggling with anxiety or are going through the grieving process.

If you don't like having your feet touched or there is a condition which may affect you having foot reflexology - contact me to discuss hand reflexology
